"Spirit Bound" follows Rose and her friends as they try to find out if there is indeed a way to turn Strigoi back into what they were before and if yes, to turn Dimitri back. Mostly, I have really come to love Adrian, and unrelated to the quality of the book and its importance to the plot, I wish he was treated better XD Overall though, this was a typical Vampire Academy book, which I have come to love. I'm getting a little annoyed with Rose's love troubles, but otherwise the plots and relationships still hit as much as before. I really enjoy getting to see more of Rose's relationships to her parents. Another highlight in this book was Rose and Lissa trying to find their place in the adult world now that they graduated.
I was so looking forward to this one in the series, more so after the last one but it seriously disappointed. I got to the end and honestly thought What?? It really felt like a filler book, just to keep the series going. Im loving the rest of the series but thought this wasnt up to scratch compared to the rest. Hopefully the next one is way better and doesnt spoil it all.
