I had SO much fun with this book. I was honestly a bit scared since Forbidden Puckboy was my least favourite Eden/Saxon book, but I really had nothing to worry about. This was super funny, it had a bit Collective, I lived for the annoyance to lovers/warming up to someone you had every right to hate arc and it also was quite deep for a Puckboys book - talking about bullying and how it still can shape someone's whole life, about expectations from others and not being able to get to know yourself because of this. The chemistry was really good & I don't know if I've rooted for a Puckboys duo as much as I did here. I also am SO looking forward to the next Puckboys book, it'll finally be (video) coach x player and the base for the player has been layed out gorgeously already, it has a lot of potential! The writing was fluent & high paced as always and I've highlighted something almost every other page because it was SO funny. I received an ARC, but I'm leaving this review honestly and voluntarily.
Lowkey highkey shocked how much more I liked this than I expected ... and there were MANY aspects I thought would give me the ick :D The siblings of it all I really adore and I gotta say, the MC's end of the journey? Was unexpected and I liked that. The foreshadowing for the next one makes me once again sceptical, but maybe the lesson I should be learning from this is to lean back more trusting and wait for the storm to hit :D CNs for past bullying and mentions of it, grief, life altering self realisations :D
