Description

'A stunning mix of hilarious tropes, swoony romance and lovable, relatable characters. A must read for every romance lover!!' Ali Hazelwood, author of The Love Hypothesis
_____

A college sports romance about a women's soccer star and her surly lumberjack lookalike classmate, complete with a matchmaking professor, juvenile pranks, and a smoking slow burn...

Ryder
Why she hates me, I don't know. What I do know is that Willa Sutter is the kind of chaos I do not need in my tidy life. Wild hair, wilder eyes. Bee-stung lips that should be illegal. A temper that makes the devil seem friendly. And she has turned our Business Mathematics course into a gladiator arena. . .

Willa
Rather than give me the lecture notes I missed like every other professor, I have been told to get them from the silent, surly flannel-wearing mountain man sitting next to me in class. Well, I tried. And what did I get from Ryder Bergman? Ignored.

As a female soccer player, I've battled men before. But with Ryder, it's war. And victory is going to taste so, so sweet...

Never wrote a review for this, but luckily I stil remember a lot. Love the aspects of sports in this altough I wish there was just a little more. Especially since it's so vital for Willas character and she supposedly spends so much time doing it. I really loved that they built up a strong friendship before there was any romance. Ryder was such a great MMC and the fact that he can cook...

- 2,5 stars ✰ "I want to close my eyes and feel the memory of the moment only when it’s us became only us, forever." This wasn’t it for me. I have not much to say about this book, i’m in one of the most worst reading slumps in my life so i think that i could’ve rated this book a lot differently if i wasn’t. I just don’t enjoy anything i read at the moment. I do feel like this book was lacking some things. First things first, a plotline? I felt like nothing was happening and everything was repeating itself. I also didn’t like Willa as a main character, she was so whiny all the time. I also feel like Chloe Liese didn’t do a very good job at the representation and diversity in this one. At the start of the book Willa shows clear signs of anger management issues which are not addressed at all and just magically cured by the end. As well as Ryders hearing issues, they’re the main focus at the start of the book and at the end it felt like he was, as well, magically healed and could hear and speak like he never could before. I don’t want to just list the things i didn’t enjoy. I did really like Willa and Ryder as a couple. Their chemistry was great, they complimented each other very well and made each other better. I also enjoyed how they actually talked to each other about their feelings unless the characters in most other romance books. I think i will be continuing the series nonetheless. I’d rather be afraid with you than fearless with anyone else. "Hate, enmity, rivalry are all passionate responses. My personal theory is that they are incomplete expressions of one core human emotion: love." "Think about it. We don’t bother with people we’re indifferent to. We provoke and prank and tease those who get under our skin and make us feel, people who incite our passion." „Willa Rose Sutter, I will do everything humanly possible with every breath I have never to hurt you.“
