Eigentlich kann man bei einem Patterson nicht viel falsch machen, er ist immer ein Garant für spannende Unterhaltung. Auch mit diesem Roman verhält es sich nicht anders. Man wird von Anfang an in die Geschichte gesogen und dank des flüssigen Schreibstils kann man gut am Ball bleiben. Zwar sind die Charaktere ein wenig vorhersehbar und es passiert recht viel gleichzietig - auf einen Strang der Geschichte hätte der Autor gefahrlos verzichten können -, doch das tut dem Lesevergnügen keinen Abbruch. Ein Buch für Regentage.
