The problem with secrets is that they're too easy to keep collecting.

Luna Allen has done some things she would rather no one ever know about. She also knows that, if she could go back in time, she wouldn't change a single thing.

With three sisters she loves, a job she (mostly) adores, and a family built up of friends she's made over the years, Luna figures everything has worked out the way it was supposed to.

But when one of those secrets involves the man who signs her paycheck, she can't find it in her to regret it. Despite the fact that he's not the friendliest man in the world. Or the most patient.

Sometimes there are things you're better off keeping to yourself.

What is it about Mariana and her books that I suddenly feel like I’m destined to work in a body shop? And paint cars for life? Cause is this what I have to do, to get myself a Lucas Ripley? Just like Under Locke, Luna and the Lie isn’t set up like the books I normally read. But trusting Mariana I read it despite of it and it was so worth it. Luna and Ripley. Ripley and Luna. The boss-employee love story I didn’t knew I needed. Ripley is like all Marianas men just pure gold. The classical grumpy brooding man who has a soft spot for our main character. And their relationship develops so slow, I feel like this was the slowest of the slow burns I’ve read so far. But it was really astonishing to see them slowly slowly grow attached to another in their normal environment. I don’t know how Mariana does this but all her character just feel like they could really be living in our world. They are build in such a complex but relatable way that’s just realistic. They could be your neighbor. And all her romances develop out of the normal life of the mcs and whilst you fell like you just read about their daily day life suddenly they are knee deep into each other. It’s amazing and I’ve never read books where the romance was executed like this. One of the many aspects why I simply just life for Mariana Zapatas books. And this one was no exception. Loved every second of it. 5

"You gave me these pieces of you I know you haven’t given to anybody else, and they’re mine. You can’t take ’em back. I need them more than you do, you hear me?" 🖤

rtc - but just wanted to say that Gomez Pugh was definitely better suited for Rip than he was for Rhodes! this audiobook was wonderful!
