“Maybe planning everything out like it was a recipe wasn’t always the easiest way to live your life.”

I LOVED “All That’s Left in the World.” It was the first book i‘ve read this year - and it was a book that made me fall in love with reading again. I was pretty excited to read another book by Erik J. Brown. “Lose you to find me” definitely didn’t disappoint. (In short: If Erik J. Brown writes it, I will read it.) The book started off great. I quickly fell in love with the characters and loved the dynamic between Tommy and Gabe. I also liked the cooking facts. I didn't like that Vic was portrayed as just the "villain" and "bad guy" of the story. It could have been different. Also the cheating aspect was NOT IT. The ending was so unexpected, but in a good way. I didn’t consider this possible outcome while reading. The cover and blurb (description of a book) give the impression that this is going to be a love story, and while there is a love story, it wasn't really the focus. It was more about finding yourself (hey, maybe the title should have tipped me off to that, lol).

The book was so nice to read and I love the writing style. I also like the ending because I didn't expect it. It's a great book.
