Seit über einem Jahr suche ich ein Buch, das dem hier gleichkommt und habe immer noch nichts gefunden... Nach einem Sonnensturm auf der Erde geht der Strom aus und strandet die Menschen in einer prä-apokalyptischen Welt. Tuck und Emily sind Kindheitsfreunde, aber während sie später als Popstar Karriere macht, sitzt er eine Haftstrafe ab. Als er rauskommt wird er durch Zufall ihr neuer Bodyguard (🥹👌🏻) und genau dann passiert das Unglück...🌌 Fortan begleiten wir die beiden wie sie sich quer durchs Land schlagen, um nach Kalifornien zurückzukommen. Dabei geraten sie in immer unheilvollere Situationen, die sie aber gleichzeitig zusammenschweißen und ihre Vergangenheit aufarbeiten lassen.. Besonders gefallen hat mir der plötzliche Rollentausch - Emilys sozialer Status ist in dieser neuen Welt plötzlich nichts mehr wert - Tucks Überlebenskünste dafür umso mehr. Es ist herzzereißend zu sehen, wie sehr er für sie durchs Feuer geht und wie Emily sich zu einer fähigen, selbstbewussten Frau entwickelt. Das Ende war besonders emotional, aber ich habe auch zwischendurch jede Menge Tränen verdrückt😪 Dieses Buch ist mit seiner Thematik so einzigartig, dass ich sicher niemals darüber hinwegkommen werde❤️
3,5 Stars I really enjoyed this book! It was so different from her other books and other books in general. It was so interesting to see how the world has changed and to see how the people have started to react differently. It was like watching a movie. 🎥 Unfortunately, the book did not have that much romance, which is why I only give 3.5 stars. I really liked the book but the marketing part should refer more to the dystopian than to the romance story. All in all, I really enjoyed this book 🧡
