Ich wollte diese Serie mögen, echt. Unterdessen habe ich es drei Mal versucht und die Bewertung sank immer tiefer. Mit Band drei lasse ich die Reihe also hinter mir. Dafür könnte sie so cool sein. Wäre nur das Charakterdesign besser. Und die Handlung. Denn irgendwie langen mich die Bücher immer mehr, da sie stets nach demselben Prinzip funktionieren. Atticus ist einfach ein Charakter, der viel zu overpowered ist, wenn ihr mir den Anglizismus verzeiht. Und wenn Hearne mal versucht, ihn doch noch menschlich wirken zu lassen, taucht von irgendwoher ein Gott oder so auf und rettet ihm das Popöchen. Deus Ex Machina im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Im Übrigen ist zumindest Band drei einfach nur ein sinnloses Schlachten. Wenn ich bedenke, wie viele Bände diese Reihe hat, so befürchte ich wohl, dass irgendwann gar keine Götter mehr herumwuseln. Immerhin hat Atticus irgendwann alle abgemurkst. Ich verstehe, weshalb die Serie viele Freunde hat, wirklich. Aber für mich ist hier Schluss.
