Wie alle Bücher der Reihe, hate auch dieser Band ein tolles Pacing. Die Entwicklung der Charaktere und ihrer Beziehungen durch die ganze Reihe ist wirklich spannend, genauso wie die Crime-Plotlines. Das Magie-System hat mir zugesagt, ebenso wie das Setting, auch wenn mir die Sprache bisweilen etwas zu vulgär war.
“Right. Put some coffee on while I think about this. I’m in dire need.” Merrick gave him a look. “You can’t work the stove, can you?” “I’m the eighth Earl Crane and the twelfth Viscount Fortunegate. I don’t have to work the stove.” “Two extra names and you can’t lift your arms any more. Bloody lucky they didn’t make you a duke too or you’d forget how to brush your own teeth.” Okay, Band drei war perfekt! Ich habe die Story geliebt und mich dem Drama hingegeben und mich einfach noch mehr in Crane und Stephen verliebt. Und das jetzt, wo die Trilogie zuende ist ... Aber wirklich, K.J. Charles hat einfach ein so wundervolles Duo geschaffen, dass ich nicht anders kann, als freudig zu quietschen. Ich liebe ihre Charakterzüge, die Dominanz und den Größenunterschied. (Ja, ich wurde hier sehr glücklich gemacht :’D) Es war einfach ein Genuss <3
