Damaged Like Us (Special Edition)

I love this about the Addicted/Calloway sisters series, and I love it about the Like us series (so far) too – the way Krista & Becca Ritchie show the ugly side of fame, and in my opinion they do it in a thoughtful and realistic way. The media, may it be paparazzi or social media, has made life difficult for the core 6 – they had to hire security, they have to deal with fake news about themselves and their loved ones, are scrutinized by the media constantly and can‘t trust people outside of their inner circle. Their children are born born famous, and have to deal with all of that too from day one. It‘s so very interesting how different they handle it. “Damaged like us“ is Maximoff’s story, so it‘s mainly about him, but through him we also get to meet his siblings and cousins. While Maximoff has a very outgoing personality, the media‘s scrutiny doesn’t have the pull on his mental health it has on Xander who suffers from depression and is scared to leave the house. And while Maximoff has this golden boy-persona going on, wanting to be liked, Charlie doesn’t seem to care about their opinion. 4.5/5⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

Das Buch hat mich geflasht. Die Charaktere haben so eine tolle Dynamik. Maximoff ist der große Bruder und will immer die Verantwortung übernehmen und macht sich um alles einen Kopf. Und Farrow ist sein neuer Bodyguard. Weil die Familie von Maximoff schon immer berühmt war und durch zahlreiche Skandale wie Alkoholismus und Sexsucht bekannt ist. Ich fand es Mal interessant zu lesen wie schrecklich es sein kann berühmt zu sein. Aber auch toll wie stark der Familienzusammenhalt war. Es ist eine große Familie mit 3 Familienzweigen.

Absolutely LOVED it. 🥺 I don’t know what to say.. I really loved the Charakters and the idea from the beginning. The writing style is really good and easy to understand. I love the humor, but also how it can get serious. I love the development and that so many different personalities come together. There is always something happening, so it never gets boring One more thing I can say: read it!!! Moffy and Farrow have my heart 🩷
