Ich hatte mich immer gefragt, was es mit den Moomin auf sich hat, vor allem, da ich so viel von ihnen im Urlaub sah. Jetzt weiß ich es. :) Das Buch war gerade die richtige Entschleunigung nach einem Thriller und einer Arbeitswoche. Ein kleines, aber feines Abenteuer mit Moomintroll und Sniff. Gerade die richtige Größe, wie Sniff sagen würde. Perfektes Timing zu einem sonnigen Morgen, um entspannt in den Tag zu starten. Die leichte Schreibweise, die kleinen süßen Charaktere, die die Beiden auf ihrem Abenteuer treffen und die gemäßigte Handlungsgeschwindigkeit war genau das, was ich brauchte. Es hat den gleichen Effekt, als wenn man Kindern die nicht so überladenen Serien von früher zeigt. Ich kann das Buch jeden empfehlen, der gerade einen Gang runter schalten möchte. Am besten mit einem Tässchen warmen Tee. 😊
A great book from the pen of Tove Jansson with vibrant characters. On a base level it is a wild adventure of troubles and anxieties which every child can relate to: the fear of some great unknown thing outside of their grasp. At a deeper level "Comet in Moominland" also entails some of the traumata of the post war period of the 1940s, where the hasty flight of the Moominfamily from a comet is directly compared to that from war. Cradled by their mothers, hidden away underground to escape the firey apocalypse above was fate both Moomin and the children of the World War had to get through. An important read if one wants to capture the permeating feel of that era.
