Jensen liefert mit „A Fate Inked in Blood“ einen spannenden Einstieg in eine Fantasy-Reihe, der mit nordischer Mythologie, einer starken Protagonistin und einem atmosphärischen Setting überzeugt. Die Geschichte punktet mit Romantik, Intrigen und einem kreativen Magiesystem. Allerdings wirkt das Pacing stellenweise unausgewogen – einige Passagen ziehen sich, während andere etwas überhastet wirken. Auch in der Tiefe der Welt und Charaktere wäre stellenweise noch mehr Potenzial gewesen. Dennoch bleibt das Buch unterhaltsam und macht neugierig auf den nächsten Band.

Dieses Buch 🤩😍 Ich hab es sehr gerne gelesen, die Story fing schon sehr gut an und der Weg von Freya war durchweg interessant. Die Vikings Vibes fand ich so toll, mit der Prise Magie dazu 🤩 Mega. Das Ende hab ich nicht kommen sehen und freue mich somit sehr auf Band 2 🥰

After reading this for a year now already I finally managed to finish it and what can I say: I loved it! There was so much tension between the MMC and the FMC. But also the overall story was something that I haven’t read in fantasy before. It’s really heavy on gods so if you like this, that’s the perfect book for you. Also the writing style was pretty unique and great for a fantasy book with a Nordic setting. Overall I would definitely recommend reading this book. Can’t wait to pick up the next book in the series!
