Keine Ahnung wie die Serie es schafft, aber ich habe bisher jedes Buch geliebt. Auch dieses hier wieder. Bisher mein Favorite. Riley die wandelnde Green Flag mit seiner eigenen tragischen Geschichte. Mal etwas komplett anderes als die üblichen Hockey-Stars. Lexi ist eine independent Frau und mit ihr kann man sich sehr gut identifizieren. Eine schön zu lesende Story ohne unsinniges Drama. Einfach perfekt.

Erwachsene Charaktere. Geschichte mit Tiefe. Er verliert im ersten Kapitel bei einem nicht verschuldeten Autounfall ein Bein unterhalb des Knies. Sie ist älter als er. Er ist schon zu Beginn verliebt in sie. Sie weiß davon. Sie fängt aber a) nichts mit Kollegen an und b) ist sie kein Beziehungstyp. „There are a lot of things I’d like Lexi to do to me - with me and for me too - and none of them are appropriate for the workplace. I’ve had a crush on her for goddamn years, but I guess I need to start getting over my attraction to her.“ Es ist richtig spannend zu lesen wie er sich einerseits mental erholt, körperlich wieder stärker wird und sich nebenbei das zarte Band der romantischen Liebe zwischen beide festigt. Am meisten war ich dann darauf neugierig ob es ein künstliches Break-up im letzten Drittel gibt oder ob sie miteinander sprechen. Und 3-2-1 🥁 … „I‘m waiting for things to start going wrong, because everything in my life seems too damn good to be true.“ … ooooh sie kommunizieren miteinander aber sie braucht etwas um zu sich selbst zu stehen. Aber ohne dieses ganze Drama Lama 🦙 Zeug 😁 „And he knows you need time to figure out what you want.“ Gutes Buch! 🙌 Große Empfehlung ♥️
