Leider konnte mich das Buch nicht fesseln und hat sich sehr in die Länge gezogen...

Nina und Sebastian - Ein Happy End nach neun Jahren? Nina und Sebastian waren auf dem College beste Freunde und haben ihrer Liebe zur Serie "Castles of Rust and Bone" immer gemeinsam gefrönt. Doch als Nina gesehen hat, wie Sebastian Heather küsst, ist etwas in ihre zerbrochen und sie hat die Freundschaft aus Eigenschutz beendet. Nun, 5 Jahre später, lebt Sebastian in Los Angeles und ist bei der Produktionsfirma seiner Lieblingsserie angestellt. Bei seinem ersten Tag am Set trifft er unverhofft auf Nina und wünscht sich seither nichts mehr, als dass ihre Freundschaft wieder auflebt. Als dann sein Telefon klingelt und Nina dran ist, weiß er, dass er die Hoffnung zurecht noch nicht ganz aufgegeben hat... Dem Autorinnenduo Sarvenaz Tash und Sarah Skilton ist mit diesem Roman eine schöne Friends-to-Lovers-Geschichte gelungen, die unterhaltsam ist. Das Fandom der beiden Protagonisten steht weit im Mittelpunkt und bildet neben der Liebesgeschichte das zweite Hauptthema. Da beide Hauptcharaktere so ihre Ecken und Kanten haben, wirken sie realistisch und nahbar. Das Cover und der Klappentext dieses Romans haben mich sofort angesprochen, weshalb ich das Buch unbedingt lesen wollte. Leider war ich schnell enttäuscht, denn weder hat die Liebesgeschichte mich sehr berührt, da sie oft nur an der Oberfläche gekratzt hat und auch erst im letzten Drittel etwas an Fahrt aufgenommen hat, dadurch aber wiederum sehr unrealistisch und konstruiert gewirkt hat, noch bin ich großer Fan von Serien á la Game of Thrones. Oft hatte ich auch das Gefühl, beim Lesen nicht vorwärts zu kommen und habe gefühlte Ewigkeiten an diesem Buch gelesen, was leider kein allzu gutes Zeichen ist. Schade, dass mir das Buch nicht gefallen hat, dennoch werde ich den Autorinnen sicherlich nochmals eine Chance geben.
