About the book

Before the Coffee Gets Cold meets KPop Demon Hunters in this cosy YA timeslip romance with a gorgeous Korean setting, cute cheesecake dates and a rogue time traveller you can't help but fall for.

Here's one thing I know for certain: if I never see you again, the world will end.

Yang Mina was born with the power to travel through time and has spent her life training to be an agent for the Descendants, a secret organisation which protects our timeline.

But when she discovers that the Descendants are corrupt - and erased her sister from existence - her whole world unravels.

Her only hope is Yejun, an irritatingly handsome but illegal agent. Can she ignore his charms long enough to restore the timeline, save her sister and pass her Calculus class?

Timey-Wimey but make it romantic and cute First a disclaimer: with time-travel stories, I am always happy to just roll with the timey‑wimey of it all — I don’t really care about strict timeline physics as long as I’m entertained by the story. That said, I’m not sure how much this will hold up for someone who really needs their time-travel physics to make perfect sense. Kylie Lee Baker has now become an auto-read author of mine, as she never disappoints in several genres. I loved the romance — absolutely adorable, a cinnamon roll of an MMC, great interactions and banter, and you can't help but root for these kids. Mina and Yejun’s chemistry made the story feel warm and grounded, especially amidst the twists and paradoxes. The best thing though is the time-travel and the exploration of the butterfly effect. There are "Descendants" and people trying to repair the timeline. However, things may not be as they seem, and there's higher powers that follow their very own, sinister causes. Mina also has her very own reasons to travel time, searching for a sister she never knew. Or did she? Oh and also: we are talking about a Japanese dragon god. And if this mix doesn't get you hooked, I don't know what will. I loved the narration of this. Mirai does a perfect job of bringing the cozy, the action and even the angst. 4.5/5 stars Thank you @netgalley and @dreamscape_media for the eARC! #IllFindYouWhereTheTimelineEnds #KylieLeeBaker #TimeTravelRomance #Bookstagram
