    I nearly didn't make it past chapter two cause those first Polish translations were horrendous. I'm glad I gave this book a chance anyway.

    Ich hatte mich sehr auf dieses Buch gefreut und eventuell waren meine Erwartungen zu hoch, denn leider wurde ich etwas enttäuscht. Das Buch ist in 3 Teile eingeteilt. Im Grunde genommen eine Vorgeschichte, dann die Zeit in Ravensbrück in die Zeit danach. Außerdem ist das Buch aus 3 Sichtweisen geschrieben. Die Vorgeschichte habe ich als Geplänkel empfunden. Kasias Kapitel haben mir noch am Besten gefallen und manche Passagen waren definitiv sehr harter Tobak. Die Kapitel, die sich wirklich um die Zeit in Ravensbrück drehen, waren für mich schockierend und detailliert beschrieben. Jedoch habe ich vielleicht 200 Seiten des gesamten Buches als wirklich interessant und wichtig empfunden. Den 3. Part des Buches habe ich zuerst als spannend empfunden, jedoch hat mich das Ende massiv enttäuscht. Kasia soll also sofort inneren Frieden gefunden haben sobald sie die Ärztin konfrontiert hat, die ihr und weiteren Frauen massives Leid zugefügt und als medizinische Versuchskaninchen missbraucht hat? Ich saß Ende vor dem Buch und dachte mir nur ,,Das wars?!‘‘
