No peace for the wicked . . .

Dexter Morgan is busy planning his wedding to Rita to complete his nice-guy disguise.

But when a student is found burnt, molested and headless - seemingly sacrificed to an ancient god - and Dex is brought in as forensic analyst to help investigate, he realises he could be dealing with someone a whole lot more sinister than he is. Soon it seems the dark passenger in Dexter's head has gone into hiding. And when something creeps out your friendly neighbourhood serial killer, you know it's serious . . .

As Halpern and Dexter are stalked by death, it looks like it's getting personal - especially as Dex now has a family to protect. Gradually, Dexter realises his stepchildren might share his extracurricular interest in death. Could he help them target their bloodlust, just as he steers his own? But to do that, Dex must cope with a certain mutilated sergeant from his past, and more importantly . . . stay alive . . .

Dexter verliert seinen Dunklen Begleiter

Ein bisschen Too Much

What a twist!!!!

This book definitely surprised me with the ending especially last 100 pages but everything before that seemed a little bit stretched and I ended up not really liking it in the middle but I’m glad I finished it because that ending wasn’t what I suspected

Since the first two books were really good, I decided on reading the third book because I already own all eight books as paperbacks and do you want to read them at some point. However, this book had a really weird stretched plot in which for over 100 pages nothing really happened at all and it was just going back-and-forth between the same thing over and over again and I started to think that maybe I shouldn’t read this book anymore because we’re not going anywhere with the plot however the ending was really good with something I didn’t expect happening so in the end I did enjoy the book
