The Raven King (the Raven Cycle, Book 4)

”The head is too wise. The heart is all fire.” I was hooked as soon as I read the first sentence. The uncertainty over everything kept me on the edge for the entire story. It felt like the end of everything. I laughed, I cried and I mourned. Maggie Stiefvater is a genius, a master storyteller. She creates these exciting, atmospheric, impressionistic scenes with this quiet, impeccable style and very poetic and witty writing. There are no words for how intensely I feel about Blue and the boys. Seeing them growing up over the course of these four books was precious. My heart bled for Gansey and his troubled soul. I loved learning about Blues backstory. In learning more about Artemus I understood her better and why she always felt wrong in her own skin. I guess it also explains her special connection with Gansey. Adam became a beautiful human despite his father and all that has happened to him. He's so strong and nothing could stop him. And Ronan us always good for a surprise. I never suspected he would be that powerful. I was so happy that he finally made peace with Declan and to see the Lynch brothers get along so well, but then Aurora?! It broke my heart he did not deserve that. I'm happy he has Adam now. It was fun getting to know hyper Noah. He is so precious and deserves the world. I'm still sad that he couldn't get his happyily ever after. And why was Henry introduced so late? That guy is hilarious, pure and amazing! I can't belive it's over. ”That’s all there is.”

I really enjoyed the other books and I read all of them in a week but idk the ending left me so disappointed, I really can’t force myself to like this book

Ach, ich weiß doch auch nicht! Objektiv sind die Bücher richtig toll, gut geschrieben, intensiv, moody, mit ambivalenten aber liebenswerten Charakteren, aber diese 80% vibes und 20% Plot ist einfach nicht soo meins. Außerdem hat die Reihe für mich als Hörbuch einfach nir so mäßig funktioniert, Will Patton ließt es zwar grandios, aber auch sehr dramatisch und mit tiefer Stimme, dem konnte ich manchmal nicht so folgen und bin häufig mit den Gedanken abgedriftet.. ich muss auch sagen, dass der Finalband mich nicht ganz so gepackt hat, selbst wenn es zwischendurch ziemlich dramatisch war. Naja. Nun ist die Reihe beendet!
