How did I not read this earlier? I've had it for almost a year and I've only just read it! School Ship Tobermory is about a set of twins called Ben and Fee MacTavish, and when they start their new school, there is a film crew anchored in the same bay. Ben ends up being lucky enough to be be picked as an extra for their movie but there is something suspicious about this ship and Ben, Fee and their new friends are determined to work out what it is. I didn't have very high expectations of this book considering it took over 11 months to finally read, but it blew away any expectations I did have. It was so good! The fact that I read it in less than 12 hours might help that too. I really liked this story because I had never read anything like it and it was really interesting to read. My favourite part of the story was the ending and the chase at sea. My favourite character was Matron especially because she believed them when neither Captain or Mr Rigger did. I really liked the relationship between Fee and Ben because it really did remind me of two siblings. I also liked Matron and Cooks relationship it was just really sweet. I really liked this book. I loved the characters, plot and the whole concept. If you are hesitant about reading this book, I'd just say read it! This book is an adventure at sea and anyone could love and enjoy it. I think this book is worth reading because it shows you just how much damage to sea creatures one ship can do. I now really want to read the sequel. I think anyone who enjoys reading about the sea, sailing or an adventure will enjoy this book.
