Loss was an inevitability of love, paint the inescapable price of joy. Everyone had to learn this someday – maybe this was what it meant to grow up. I’d never thought I’d say this but I was annoyed by Jem Carstairs. I really don’t care about the Lost Herondale and I’m glad that these novellas are over now. I liked the Jem/Tessa parts, sure, but I think we have enough about them now. The flashbacks to Rook and Rosemary bored me, it seemed so dull. I feel like these short stories weren’t of importance and we didn’t get a lot of new information apart from the Herondale stuff. I would have liked it better if they had actually visited Emma because by now, I like the TDA characters more. I just think that we don't need more about Jem, yknow?
