The Ruse is so far my least favorite of this series. It has the kind of love triangle that is the result of miscommunication, and that's just so unfair for the 3rd party - Nash. He really does deserve better. To be honest, her indecision in itself is a reason to dislike her. But she also isn't the kind of protagonist I like. It was a lot easier to connect to her sister. The mystery revolving around Asher's girlfriend is interesting in my opinion - though I'm not happy how Asher dealt with it in the end. And Asher has some good moments, and if it wasn't for how he dealt with his exes secret, he would be a okay-isch character - you know this guy with the bad boy-image who actually isn't even close to be a bad boy, kind of cliché but not necessarily in a bad way. 2.5/5⭐
