My first FFC book I approached this book with high expectations, as I've always loved all of Penelope Douglas' other books so far! As always, the characters were deep and relatable. The story was also really well put together. However, it was a bit long, 150 pages less would have been good for the story, then it wouldn't have dragged on too long. I thought Clay was very critical. Even though it was resolved at the end, it still always felt like all the hate was for no reason and Olivia suffered way too much because of her. Even though it was a lovely story, it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Nun, also, ja. Ich liebe Clay, Clay is perfect, alle Character die Clay heißen sind immer perfekt. Beide sind aber sehr gut geschrieben und sehr relateable, absolut nah an der Realität, ich fand nichts von allem jetzt irgendwie komplett übertrieben, unrealistisch oder klischeehaft. Nur sehr viel von: kenn ich. Weiss ich. Ist so. Wir leiden einfach so oft, dafür lieben wir so intensiver. Und das find ich perfekt widergespiegelt. ❤️🧡🤍💗💜

Además una estrella de este libro está dedicada a los hermanos de Liv, en especial a Malcon, SEMEJANTES CHICOS DIOS, son divertidos, fuertes, protectores y adorables al mismo tiempo. Los adoro. Quiero un libro de cada uno. Cuando el corazón late demasiado rápido, no bombea suficiente sangre al resto del cuerpo. Hace que tus órganos se mueran de hambre, que te marees, que no puedas respirar, que te sientas débil, que no puedas pensar… —Me sumerjo en ella, presionando mi frente contra la suya—. Ich liebe diese Autorin. Einfach wow. Was ein Buch. Definitiv ein Jahreshighlight. Lest die Trigger Warnings Leute. Das ist wirklich Enemys to Lovers und auch nicht grad einfache Themen werden hier behandelt. Es lohnt sich aber so wahnsinnig dem Buch eine Chance zu geben. Die Charaktere sind wieder erste Sahne und ich könnte mir mehr nicht von dem Buch wünschen. Sehr einfach vergebene 5/5 Sternen.

First things first, i didn't know i needed a relationship like Clay and Olivia have until i read it!! They really were everything, I loved them so much. Not only was the tension between the two on point, no, they really embodied enemies to lovers. I mean who doesnt love a hot, dark and steamy romance. Olivia comes from the poorer side and has been through a lot, she fights for her will and has often had to deal with losses. Clay, on the other hand, is rich, spoiled, and wants anything that comes to her mind. She has taken it to her mission to ruin Olivias life and to do anything to make her feel unnecessary. The two were just made for each other, I can only tell you how much I was looking forward to their relationship. Although it doesn't seem like it, both girls need each other and develop more than hate towards each other Please make sure to check TW before reading this book. I can only recommend it to you, it was one of my best reads in 2021 and i hope so much that penelope will soon write a book about the jaeger brothers, so we get to know them better!!
