3.5-3.75☆ I really enjoyed some of the stories but others I did not really get. I really liked the rough portrait she painted of all these women in all their shapes and colours. No one was fragile or perfect in the way society wants women to be some ideal of sorts.

Female life in a nutshell

I really enjoyed reading „watching women and girls“ because of the wide range of emotions that were dealt with. Grief, loss, love, friendship, dating, setting boundaries, family/upbringing etc. Almost all stories felt very relatable and there characters were portrayed very well and were approachable. I’d wished the book was a bit longer. My favourite stories were „Self-Portrait“, „The Cat“ and „Window Display“
