Dies ist eine absolut grandiose Reihe mit so viel Einfallsreichtum geschrieben und so viel sprachlichem Können. Ja, nicht nur das Worldbuilding ist faszinierend und einzigartig, sondern auch Barkers Sprache, sein Talent, mit Worten und Satzaufbau zu zaubern. GODS OF THE WYRDWOOD war ein grandioser Beginn und dieser zweite Band war nicht minder interessant. Wieder werden wir in diese dunkel mystische Welt entführt, diesmal mit mehr Sichtweisen, neuen Schauplätzen, grossartigen Charakterentwicklungen. Manchmal hatte ich beim Lesen einen Knoten im Kopf, weil Vieles rätselhaft bleibt und Barker uns Leser wie gewohnt nicht babysittet. Wieder hatte ich an vielen Punkten des Buches sehr viele aufwühlende Gefühle und deshalb kann auch der zweite Band für mich nur ein Highlight sein.
