Description

Falling stars are supposed to be a lucky sign, but not for Austen. Her new job as a secretary in an international games company isn't off to a good start. Her first assignment-decorating the Christmas tree in the lobby-results in a trip to the ER after Dee, the company's second-in-command, gets hit by the star-shaped tree topper. Dee blames her instant attraction to Austen on her head wound, not the magic of the falling star. She's determined not to act on it, especially since Austen has no idea that Dee is practically her boss.

I'm so disappointed. My biggest issue was the main characters, I just didn't like them and didn't care if they got together or not. All of the characters, especially Dee, behaved like high school students. Dee didn't come across like a 36 year old woman. I know that's probably strange to say but Dee was kinda written like a man? I don't even know how to describe it, it was really weird. The instant attraction and sexual thoughts caught me really off guard and bothered me. I found the conversations kinda cringe sometimes and I wasn't interested in anything that was happening. By page 270 I kinda gave up and just started skimming. The writing was great tho and it was really easy to get through.
