Description

Falling in love wasn’t part of the plan in this lesbian enemies to lovers romance from best-selling author Jae. Susanne Wolff isn’t thrilled when her mother sends her all the way across the country to Freiburg to save her uncle’s stationery store from bankruptcy. Freiburg is too provincial for her taste, and besides, pen and paper are outdated anyway.Anja Lamm, Paper Love’s only full-time employee, takes an instant dislike to the arrogant, digital-loving snob who’s supposed to be her temporary boss. But thanks to a meddling cat, a business trip to a stationery fair, and an armada of origami boats, Anja soon starts to see beneath Susanne’s aloof exterior, and Susanne discovers how sexy pens and notebooks can be—at least when Anja handles them.As the end of Susanne’s three-month stay approaches, will she stick to her plan to leave, or will she open her heart to more than just paper love?

It was enjoyable but not what I was hoping for. I really liked Anja. Susanne was fine. I did like Nobby but the other side characters annoyed me. Most of the time the characters were behaving like teenagers. They couldn't even say a sentence like "You're wet" (from the rain) without thinking about something sexual...like come on you're not some 12 year old boy. The plot of saving the store wasn't really part of the book... After the first ~50% they never really talked about it. The ending was also a little weird. I think the book could have benefited from being a bit longer. Or cutting out annoying scenes with the friend and the sister :) There definitely are some cute scenes but most of the time I didn't really care. I also didn't really see the chemistry between them, or the side characters. It felt like they just liked each other because they found each other attractive? I did like that they didn't have sex right away tho, cause that's something that really annoyes me in some books.
