Spannend, aber nicht perfekt.
Insgesamt ein schnell zu lesendes, spannendes Buch. Teilweise war mir die Handlungsentwicklung aber doch zu fix und ich bin bei der Charakterentwicklung nicht nachgekommen. Es hätte einfach etwas besser ausgeschmückt sein können. Trotzdem bin ich durch die Seiten geflogen und kann es allen dark- romance Fans empfehlen. :)
I love the plot, seriously it hot me so invested at the beginning! But everything after the Prison was kind of… meh? It made my Stomach feel all kind of ways to be honest. It was a good read and it sure is nothing I’d regret putting in my bookshelf. The and was a bit… well… it feels like a End that is rather pushed? Everything is happening so fast, while we got a boring middle part with her being alone- I would have wanted more Tessa&Gracin Revenge thingy… but hey! We got a Happy ending! (Although i am not really satisfied …)

Im torn in my stars here. On one side, its absolutely captivating and of course very very dark but sometimes it lost its interest for me. It's not a slow start at all when it comes to the trigger warnings and it grows deeper and darker with every chapter. This is one of these books where I cant tell if I can recommend it. Read it (and be prepared for what you get thrown into) or don't. Its an experience for itself.
Rally easy read, good story, but little but too fast in the story line. You get a little overwhelmed
It’s a Good Book. The Story line is also great. But it is really too fast happening. You feel like it is forced and don’t get time to breath. But because. Of the short chapter and the easy writing, you just keep reading and flow over the pages. It’s really nice to read and does not take long to finish.

Das Cover des Buches hat mich sofort angesprochen, wirklich sehr schön gestaltet und ein echter Hingucker. Besonders positiv fand ich auch die Kapitelanfänge mit weißer Schrift auf schwarzen Seiten, das hat mich direkt gecatcht und eine besondere Atmosphäre geschaffen. Leider konnte der Inhalt für mich da nicht ganz mithalten. Ich bin noch relativ neu im Dark-Romance-Genre, daher bin ich vielleicht nicht die beste Referenz, aber mich konnte die Geschichte einfach nicht richtig fesseln. Dabei klang die Grundidee wirklich vielversprechend: eine gebrochene Krankenschwester und ein mysteriöser Insasse, das hat definitiv Potenzial und hat mich auch neugierig gemacht. Umso enttäuschender fand ich die Umsetzung. Mir hat es an Tiefgang gefehlt und ich konnte weder zu den Charakteren noch zu ihrer Entwicklung wirklich Zugang finden, auch wenn spürbar war, dass genau das versucht wurde. Was ich hingegen positiv hervorheben möchte, ist, dass die spicy Szenen eher im Hintergrund geblieben sind. Das finde ich persönlich immer angenehm, da der Fokus so stärker auf der Handlung liegen kann. Trotzdem konnte mich die Geschichte insgesamt nicht überzeugen. Das Ende war dann leider auch noch sehr klischeehaft und ich habe bis zum Epilog gehofft, dass es vielleicht doch noch eine andere Richtung einschlägt aber auch hier wurde ein typisches Muster bedient. Wirklich schade, denn die Idee hatte definitiv mehr Potenzial. Insgesamt vergebe ich daher 3 Sterne vor allem für die gute Grundidee und die gelungene Gestaltung. Bitte unbedingt die Triggerwarnungen beachten!
