When last we heard, the Guardians were resting easy with the knowledge that the children of Santoff Clausen were finally safe from Pitch’s dastardly plans.
But is it all a ruse, a scheme, a lull the evil Nightmare King has deviously concocted?
Whatever Pitch’s plans, what he doesn’t know is that there’s a new Guardian in town, and she’s not the type to forget old grudges. Actually, she’s not the type to forget anything—because this Guardian is none other than Toothiana, the Tooth Fairy herself. She’s fierce and fast and crossing her will lead to a multitude of troubles. And, it turns out that, well, all those teeth she has been collecting? They contain memories. The forgotten memories of childhood…including the memories of how to fly. Young Katherine is hopeful that these memories might help her to remember her parents. The Guardians hope they’ll offer even further protection from Pitch.

Schon der Titel „Toothiana – Queen of the Tooth Fairy Armies“ verrät, worum es im dritten Band der Reihe geht – und genau das hat mich vollkommen mitgerissen.
Endlich steht die Zahnfee im Mittelpunkt, und was für eine Hintergrundgeschichte sie bekommt … ehrlich, trauriger geht es kaum. Ich hätte niemals mit so viel emotionaler Tiefe gerechnet. Dieser Band ist deutlich intensiver als die vorherigen, nicht nur wegen Toothiana selbst, sondern auch, weil Kathrine stärker in den Fokus rückt. Man spürt förmlich, wie sehr sie die Ereignisse der letzten Bände geprägt haben und wie sehr sie nun versucht, mit allem umzugehen, was passiert ist. Diese innere Zerrissenheit wurde unglaublich gut eingefangen. Und dann dieses Ende … Himmel! Es hat mich emotional echt fertiggemacht. So viele offene Fragen, so viel Schmerz – und irgendwie war es mir fast schon zu traurig. Ich hoffe inständig, dass sich im nächsten Band vieles aufklärt, denn so kann man mich unmöglich zurücklassen.
Geht echt krass weiter. Allein wie die Zahnfee in den Büchern drauf ist und ihre Hintergrundgeschichte .. Uff. Jetzt das mit Katherine. Die immer mehr darunter leidet, dass sie ihre Eltern nicht kennt und sogar Mitleid mit Pitch empfindet.. 🥺 Bin gespannt wie sich Pitch weiter entwickelt. Finds hart wie er zum Boogeyman geworden ist.
