Abbie starts dating the founding partner of Richard's law firm, Damien Martinez, with one thing in mind: convincing him to invite her to the huge annual Christmas party as his date.

– rom com – ex boyfriend‘s boss – Legally Blonde vibes – age gap – selfcare – dirty talk and spicy scenes – revenge
I loved how Abbie found her way back to be herself after living under her exes thumb for so long. I also think how her ex treated her is abuse – although it is never addressed as clearly as this in the book, I feel like this should be mentioned. So saying this a***ole deserves all the payback would be an understatement. Damien on the other hand is amazing. It‘s lovely how he encourages her and how he shows her her worth. And his dirty talk gives me the tingles. I love such a thing when it‘s well written – and in this case it most definitely is imo. It‘s cheesy and fluffy, and has all the rom com atmosphere you expect when you look at the cartoon cover but it still doesn‘t miss to address serious topics (mentioned above) 4/5⭐️
4.75 I cannot believe how amazing this was. I read this in two sittings and sobbed and giggled and felt so many emotions. When there was a shocking scene, my heart was beating so so fast and I just had the best time reading this. And all this over a CHRISTMAS romance?? But honestly it just felt like a really great romance that was just set on Christmas. I normally don’t like Insta love but I actually felt this so enjoyable, though I thought the ending went a little too fast. The only thing that annoyed me a little, was how often they said each others names in conversation. But other than this wow.
— 4,35 estrellas.
