Inhalt: Nicholas Sparks geht mit seinem älteren Bruder Micah auf Weltreise. Dabei lassen sie oft nochmal ihre Vergangenheit Revue passieren. Sie erzählen von ihrer gemeinsamen Kindheit und dem Leben bis zu dieser Reise. Meinung: Ich fand die private Perspektive der beiden, also die Vergangenheit und deren Lebensgeschichte einfach schön und so echt. Ich habe viel mitfühlen können. Und diese Verbindung zwischen den Brüdern nach so vielen Schicksalsschlägen... einfach toll! Die Story rund um die Weltreise war teils sehr lang gezogen und langweilig. Da ich mich mit diesen Orten nicht identifizieren konnte habe ich diese Szenen einfach nur gelesen und nicht wirklich gefühlt.
I’d never expected this. Such a personal book. Such a wonderful author. Now I understand. Now I know. I know why he becamse the man he is. Why he wrote so many wonderful books. His life is full of drama, tragic and love. ‘Three weeks with my brother’ is everything at once. WOW! What an amazing book. Read it on your own and you may understand my feelings. I cried, laughed and was just speechless.
