Those old stories lied about many things too, especially the myth that the hero always wins.
Then again, maybe Kihrin isn't the hero, for he's not destined to save the empire. He's destined to destroy it.

Der Untergang der Könige ist der Auftakt der neuen Hobbit Press Reihe. Das Buch ist als „Zusammenfassung“ für die Majestät verfasst, demnach sind viele Notizen und Zusatzinformationen eingefügt, ähnlich wie bei Bartimäus. Allerdings oft wenig informativ und werfen meist noch mehr fragen auf. Es werden zwei Erzählstränge aus zwei verschiedenen Perspektiven und zu zwei verschiedenen Zeitsträngen. Dazu eine komplett ausgefeilt erdachte Welt, in der sogar jedes Getränk einen eigenen Namen hat. Hut ab dafür. Allerdings erschwert es einfach der Handlung zu folgen, da auf jeder Seite unzählige Namen auftauchen, die kaum auszusprechen und so auch kaum zu unterscheiden sind, dazu Orte, Götter, Welten,... einfach absolute Überforderung. Ich hätte mir einen leichteren Einstieg gewünscht, denn so habe ich ab der Hälfte gemerkt, dass mir schon wichtige Informationen entglitten sind, dir aber für das Verständnis der weiteren Handlung wichtig wären. Die Welt erinnert an GoT, ein gewalttätiges und vulgäres Mittelalter, Bordelle, Vergewaltigungen, Gewalt,.. oh Fantasy? Dann gibts noch ein paar Leute die irgendwie Zaubern können und einen Drachen
