The QUARC Metamodel: A Communication-Based Generic Project Model

Project managers use different tools to cover task management, issue tracking, requirements, rationale management, risk management, and software lifecycle. The QUARC metamodel (QUestions, Activities, Rationale, Communication) offers a unified data model for these tools. We show how models like IBIS, QOC, PERT, Waterfall, Unified Process, and Scrum can be represented as instances of the metamodel, and how aspects of these models can be combined into a hybrid model.
