Ich habe schon einige sehr gute Bücher von der Autorin gelesen und hier ist der Klappentext wirklich sehr ansprechend gewesen und dementsprechend hatte ich hohe Erwartungen. Der Einstieg ist vielversprechend und interessant gewesen, denn die Geschichte beginnt direkt mit der Entführung von Amelie und Ned. Amelie ist in einem dunklen Raum gefangen und man konnte wirklich die Panik von der Protagonistin spüren, das Zurechtfinden in diesem Raum ist gut beschrieben bishin zur der Flucht. Ich finde, dass die Autorin sehr viel aus diesem Szenario gemacht hat. Neben diesem Erzählstrang gibt es noch die Erzählweise aus der Vergangenheit wie Amelie überhaupt in diese Situation gekommen ist und auch das hat mir gut gefallen. Da gibt es kaum etwas zu meckern Amilie wurde gut gezeichnet und ist mir als Protagonistin sympathisch gewesen. Der größte Schwachpunkt ist einfach die weitere Entwicklung sowie die Auflösung, die mich nicht ganz überzeugen mag,was ich sehr schade fand. Das hat mich etwas enttäuscht, da die erste Hälfte des Buches sehr stark gewesen ist. Insgesamt dennoch eine solide Geschichte.
