A very nice read. Magical, a little bit mafia but at the same time not quite. It leaves you wanted for more, what is it with Henry Crow, what happens with the Family? There is something that is making instinct itch but I guess we have to read the next book to find out what exactly it is that you feel isn't really quite told. What is going on with Jason? And Amy?

It was enjoyable enough to finish, was it good enough to keep going with an 8 book series? I’m honestly not sure. The little lore about the families was super interesting, but it was just not the most present and I hoped for more. The storyline was kinda weak and not all there for a set up book of a long series. The “romance”, if you can even call it that, was super odd and I wasn’t able to get into it even a bit. Tho I did like Jason the ghost. He is quite a flatmate to have.
