A Slow-Burn Thriller That Keeps You Guessing
Lena lives with her teenage son in a quiet neighbourhood, where everything feels safe and familiar — until the Morgans move in next door. When she accidentally overhears them discussing a crime, her sense of normality quickly begins to fracture, and nothing feels quite so harmless anymore. As a fan of domestic mysteries, I really enjoyed how the story unfolds through shifting perspectives and timelines, gradually revealing hidden connections and unreliable narrators. Lena is a relatable and compelling main character, which made her growing unease easy to invest in. The middle section dragged slightly, but the tension ramps up towards a strong and satisfying ending. Overall, a gripping read and a solid 3.5 stars.
Perfekt für den Herbst! 🍂⚡
