Ich gebe zu: Das Cover hat mich verzaubert und beim Wort "Zauberschule" war ich bereits sold. Als Potterhead at heart hatte ich vermutlich auch eine gewisse Erwartungshaltung, aber die Welt der Marvellers, Conjuror und Fewel zieht einen auf eine andere Weise in seinen Bann. Ella ist ein herzliches 11-Jähriges Mädchen und beginnt als erste Conjuror am Arcanum Training Institut ihre Schullaufbahn. Voller Vorfreude und Wissensdurst, begegnet sie jedoch auch Vorurteilen und fühlt sich zunächst einsam, ehe schließlich die Freundschaft mit Jason und Brigit erblüht und durch die Story trägt. Ein fantasievolles und buntes Lesevergnügen mit etwas vorhersehbaren Twists und einem angenehmen Schreibstil.
