If this had been my first book by Sara Cate, I would have put it aside in chapter 11. unfinished. i didn't like the time lapse. At the end of chapter 10 Dean goes to work. in chapter 11 he is at work but one week later. But this information comes in the middle of the chapter. I noticed this twice and didn't like it. It's not that the time can't pass between two chapters but please tell me this at the beginning. The second reason why I would have put it aside: I missed the tension. Thier marriage is suffering, both know it, both mourn it and neither of them talks about it. Until Dean comes in and changes everything. That was the moment i started enjoying this book. And then i couldn't put the book down. In my head, I compared the book with Madame (also by Sara). When I open Madame and start reading in the middle of a chapter, I know from the style alone from which perspective the chapter is written. I missed that. I understand that this book is about all three of them being so similar and yet somehow different, but I didn't get that from the style of writing . So compared to other books from Sara Cate the story was 3 stars. Compared to books from other authors this is still a 5 star read. In my opinion, this book has everything a book needs to get 5 stars. Lust, desire and pleasure build up slowly only to end in a spicy scene after another. On top Sara created a new trope: brothers exboyfriend. Talking about Isaac... i can't wait to read his book. 😍😍 I love this guy soo much already.
