I didn't hate the book but also didn't particularly like it either. I did not find any of the main characters likable which made it difficult to really get into the book. What bothered me the most though was the supposed time line. The book starts in 2019 and continues until 2021. Anybody who has been older than 3 years old during this time will recognize that the story (which is already not extremely realistic) cozld not have unfolded as described due to COVID. Since the book was published in 2020 it was probably written prior to the lock-downs and other restrictions but such things do bother me.
