Ich hab mich unglaublich auf dieses Buch gefreut, da mich der Klappentext sehr angesprochen hat und eine booktuberin meines Vertrauens dieses Buch in den Himmel gelobt hat. Leider konnte es mich nicht so mitziehen wie ich gehofft habe. Der Plot ist relativ simple, aber lustig gestaltet, da man durch die Wünsche, die der Protagonistin von der Dämonin erfüllt werden aus ihrer Sicht miterlebt. Das hat mich beim ersten Mal etwas verwirrt, weil ich nicht verstanden habe, was da gerade passiert, aber als es aufgelöst wurde und dann öfter passiert ist, hat es viel Spaß gemacht. Die Anziehung zwischen der Protagonistin und der Dämonin fand ich etwas konstruiert, ich habe sie nicht richtig gefühlt, dass es dann doch relativ abrupt kam. Aber dann fand ich die beiden wirklich schön miteinander und das Ende fand ich auch sehr gut gelungen. Da ich leider mit sehr hohen Erwartungen hier dran gegangen bin, hat es mich etwas enttäuscht, aber es war trotzdem ein schönes Buch, was ich gerne weiterempfehle.

I really felt Sam’s pain and I loved the humour of Daphne, just an amazing enemy to lovers novel. I like that the enemy part is long and the love part is even sweeter. I highly recommend reading The devil she knows 🌈✨
