Ich war ja schon begeistert von "Fever House" und "The Devil by Name" hat mich nun ebenfalls in absolute Hochstimmung versetzt! Was für eine grandiose Dilogie! Was für ein abwechslungsreiches Genre-Meisterwerk, das mich gleichermaßen erschüttert, wütend, schockiert und unglaublich berührt hat. Allein die Charaktere werde ich wohl so schnell nicht wieder vergessen und in dieser Fortsetzung bekommt man als Leser sogar noch mehr Charakterentwicklung und Tiefe, aber auch mehr Blut, Bösartigkeiten und Lesespaß vom feinsten. Durch die Verwendung mehrerer POVs erleben wir die Story durch ihre Augen: Unschuldige Opfer, Helden, machthungrige Bastarde, Unsympathen und auch jene, die sich noch nicht für eine Seite entschieden haben gleichermaßen in einer Welt, die völlig aus den Fugen geraten ist. Die drei Artefakte des Teufels sind weit verbreitet und richten eine wahr gewordene Hölle auf der Welt an. Die rasante, actionreiche Fülle an unfassbar genialen Situationen und Ereignissen hält den Leser auf Trab und auch ich selbst habe oft aufgeatmet, meine Augen geweitet und auf diesen Roman reagiert, als würde ich einen Horror-Punk-Apokalypse-Film im Kino sitzen. Durch und durch Keith Rosson Fan, der ich jetzt bin, werde ich künftig alles verschlingen, was er auch schreibt, denn er hat für mich dieses Genre mit einem Mix aus Punk-Rock-Thriller-Überlebens-Apokalypse-Horror auf ein neues Niveau gebracht!
