Ein weiteres Buch, das mich im Monat Juni völlig mitgerissen hat. Das Buch wird als "Roman" bezeichnet; ist jedoch kein wirklicher Roman in dem Sinne. Eher ist es ein philosophisches Tagebuch, vielleicht jenes des Alter-Egos des Autoren? Der Erzähler erinnerte mich vielerorts an den Protagonisten aus Hesses "Steppenwolf". Auch bei Pessoa finden wir eine Figur, die nicht in das moderne Gefühlsleben hineinpasst. Er hat einen Job, dem er nachgeht, aber ansonsten lebt er zurückgezogen und vertieft sich voll und ganz in seine Gedankenwelt. Dabei kommt so viel Schönheit zu Tage, dass ich es aufgegeben habe, sie alle notieren zu wollen. Ich hätte gleich das ganze Buch abtippen können. An so vielen Stellen berührte Pessoa direkt mein Herz, sprach, was ich oft nicht einmal ansatzweise in Worte fassen kann, und gibt diffusen Emotionen einen Körper. Ein einzigartiges Kunstwerk einer empfindsamen Seele.
