About the book

On the surface, my new boyfriend is a stiff, buttoned-up architect. He plans every detail of his life while carefully maintaining the walls he's built around his heart. But when the biggest project of his career pulls him away, Clay's solution is both temporary and unconventional. It even comes with a name-Travis.This handsome stranger is sweet and thoughtful. He's only meant to be a stand-in, to fulfill my needs under Clay's watchful direction, yet these two men couldn't be more different. The one thing they share? Well, I guess that would be me.One gets off on my pain, the other on my pleasure, and it awakens a desire none of us knew existed. But it can't last.Eventually I'll have to choose. And it's going to destroy us all.

The Architect, Nikki Sloane 1/5 (To be honest, I'm not even sure about that one star...) I read this in public. Fair to say I wasn’t ready for what was coming: Page 32, we are starting to go knuckles deep into spiceland, I’m in public and no one fucking prepared me for this. I don’t know exactly what I expected, but it wasn’t this, even if Clay’s dang hot (plus he’s got glasses so please) and highlighted quite a few feeling stirring passages. As much as I like reading spice (and the spice was hot and lengthy), there was no something, actual plot or focus on the characters, much of their feelings (except for pleasure) in between which is something that would have made me like the book a lot more. It was really just: Please help there’s a stray in my house and idk if it’s hurt. The stray’s fine, you wanna share custody? Okay, but I’m not home a lot. Oh, that’s fine. I’ll just come over, watch the house and cat. *Clay coming home, boom and we entered spiceland at home and the club* People who said Den of Vipers has no plot have not read this book. I don’t know if I’ll ever finish this book, for now I’ve set it aside and thought about slowly reading through.
