I was completely immersed in the book and couldn't put it down. The writing was so addictive that I devoured it in no time, feeling an incredible rush of joy while reading. This book continues the journey of Shadow Man and Lyla, and to avoid spoilers, l'll keep my descriptions vague. But it's definitely deserving of a glowing 5-star review! Shadow Man's obsession with Lyla reaches an extreme level that can be described as beyond questionable - more like concerning to the point of needing immediate medical intervention. There's a certain poetic aspect to it, though, which adds complexity to the story. Lyla's traumatic past adds depth to the story, and it's touching to see how Shadow Man goes to great lengths to support and protect her. While you find his dedication captivating, you acknowledge that your own reaction might be overwhelming if someone had the same level of obsession with you. I'm glad to hear that the plot gets even more intense in this book, with some mysteries being solved while others remain for the final installment. It's always a thrilling experience when a story keeps you on the edge of your seat. The anticipation for the final book is real, and I hope it delivers a satisfying conclusion to the series!
so ‚The Finisher’ was a one time miss from RuNyx, because I loved this book. Lyla and The Shadow Man. This is an intense read and I strongly recommend to look up trigger warning before starting. I devoured this book. Emotional and heartbreaking and just so well written. I can’t wait for the Syndicator now. I NEED IT NOW. I’m also not ready to say goodbye to this series. 4.5
