Description

High school is a monster, and it's eating everyone Robin knows. Discover the backstory of the new Stranger Things fan favorite character, Robin, played by Maya Hawke!

It's the beginning of sophomore year, and Robin's Odd Squad friends have decided: this time, they're going to fit in. They couple up, they won't stop talking about college and their future careers, and they're obsessed with trying to act "normal." Robin knows that game well--she's been pretending for years, hoping nobody would notice the sarcastic polyglot French horn player with a bad perm in the back of the room. But there's one aspect of her identity that she knows for sure doesn't fit in with her carefully controlled image--something she's only just now realizing: Robin likes girls.

How exactly is she supposed to be her true self in teeny-tiny Hawkins, Indiana? Robin is convinced the only way she can experience real life is by fleeing to Europe for the summer--aka Operation Croissant. But she has no money, no permission, and no one to share the adventure with--and it will take a heck of a lot more than that to escape Hawkins in one piece.

Sprinkled with references to your favorite Stranger Things characters, this prequel chronicles one girl's realization that the only person she really needs to be accepted by is herself.

I loved to learn more about the Story of Robin and how she became the character that we now from the show.

!!Spoiler warning!! It was very interesting and very sweet to read about her story and how she realized that she has a crush on Tammy and in general her gay awakening. I wished that she had more interactions with Tammy and I also wished that she told her about operation croissant. I also loved her relationship with her english teacher and how he noticed that she liked girls before she self did , I was so in shock when the teacher told her that he needed to leave the school , because somebody saw him with his boyfriend ,but I really liked that in the end he was there with his boyfriend.( that was a really good detail ) I also think it was a really good ending and how It takes place where season 3 starts. I really loved the book and it was really interesting to read about her story.

The book is a beautiful description of how Robin became the person she is when we meet her in season three. Up to this point she lives quit a normal life where the only thing she wants to do is leave Hawkins. Through Tammy she learns to understand her sexuality and learns to take pride in her character. She learns to become her true self and crashes the school’s prom.

The book is so nice to read and Robins POV is really funny and matches her character. The book moves slowly but it is still really fun to read.

High school is a monster, and it’s eating everyone, Robin knows.

ROBIN BUCKLEY YOU WILL ALWAYS BE FAMOUS My hold from the library for this audiobook cleared and I had kind of forgotten about it. I don’t regret the listen tho Robin is even more relatable to me now than she ever was before. I wish I could’ve had an english teacher like mr Hauser when I was a closeted little lesbian.

AAAAA

My fav character has a somewhat complex, relatable silly background story? I'm in (and a lot like her)
