Tom King gelingt es wieder zu Beginn viele Puzzleteile auszulegen und das eine oder andere Fragezeichen hervorzurufen. Er gestaltet dies sehr spannend und dank der unterschiedlichen grafischen Gestaltung (Vergangenheit = Evan Shaner und Gegenwart = Mitch Gerads) wird man bei den zahlreichen zeitlichen Sprüngen auch gut durchgeleitet. Zum Ende fügen sich alle Puzzleteile zusammen und man blickt verblüfft auf die gesamte Geschichte zurück, die einem Kriminalroman im Mantel einer Sci-Fi-Story verpackt gleicht.
