And Pandora will have to open up to gain Beacon’s trust because joining forces may be the only way for Pandora to find her freedom and catch the real killer plaguing the city.

Ein verwirrendes Magiesystem und eine Handlung, die zäh wie Kaugummi ist
Ich weiß gar nicht, wie ich die Handlung in Worte fassen soll: Es ist so viel und gleichzeitig wenig passiert. Obwohl die Handlung immer vorangetrieben wurde, hat sich dieses Buch angefühlt wie Kaugummi. Es geht um Pan, die magische Fähigkeiten hat und diese in ihrer Welt nicht agesehen werden. Sie war auf einer Schule, um sich einen Patron zu suchen. Denn jeder Magier muss an einen Patron gebunden werden. Doch Pan ist anders als die andern Magierinnen. Ihre Kraft ist extrem stark und sie versucht, sich anzupassen. Das gelingt ihr bis sie auf Beacon trifft, eine Palastwache. Die beiden verbinden ihre Geheimnisse und eine Freundschaft, die sich zur Romanze entwickelt. Und dabei ist Pan nur im Palast um ihren Peiniger aus ihrer Kindheit zu finden und zur Rechenschaft zu ziehen. Insgesamt war das Magiesystem schwierig zu verstehen. Man braucht echt lange, um zu verstehen, was Pans Motivation ist. Leider gar nicht mein Geschmack!
