Stay With Me By Brooke Montgomery I absolutely fell in love with Tripp and Magnolia! Their story is one that had me swooning the entire time. It is truly the epitome of a small town, cowboy and best friend’s brother romance. I did not want their story to end, and I was so excited to see the bonus scene epilogue once I signed up for the author’s newsletter! I was happy to see the end of this book tee up the next one which will include the story of Landen and Ellie because I want to see more of this family in other books! Stay With Me, as I mentioned, is a small-town romance and it has plenty of emotions in it, and not all of them are directly related to the romance itself. Tripp is a lover who puts everyone before him, even when that means he has to watch a jerk date the girl he is in love with for years. After suffering a major loss in his life, he harbors quite a bit of guilt, constantly telling himself he doesn’t deserve to be happy. He comes from a big family, having three older brothers: Waylon & Wilder (twins) and Landen. He has a baby sister, Noah, who is best friends with Magnolia, the girl he has loved since they were teens. Magnolia is an only child who is head strong and feisty. She has also pined after Tripp for years, but when he doesn’t make a move, she continues her dating life, even when that means the guy she is on-again-off-again with is a major douchebag. If you enjoy a good romance without a lot of unnecessary drama, this book is for you. Don’t get me wrong, there is drama but it’s your everyday-life kind of drama, not cooked up schemes and such that a lot of romance books include today. Some of my favorite parts of the book, aside from Tripp and Magnolia’s relationship, include Magnolia’s friendship with Landen, the relationship between all four brothers who work on their family’s farm/equine retreat together, and Gramma Grace’s wisdom. Magnolia’s sass is great and funny to read! Tripp’s unwavering love and adoration for Magnolia had me wishing this book boyfriend to life – major swoon throughout!
