The thirteenth book of the NJO series. And a very special one. Jacen as the main character was quite a change. I never really liked him and had my doubts about this book, I thought I would never finish it and just go on with the next one. However Matthew Stover really managed to find a different way of writing StarWars novels and he sucked me into this story! The way he describes Jacen's spiritual journey and the dialogues between him and Vergere were just great and kept me reading. The reader gets to know the Yuuzhan Vong and their technology from a different angle and the finale is just amazing. This is a book for StarWars fans who believe that there is more than one way to write a story.
