When the murdered body of millionaire Hugo Fletcher is found in his posh London apartment, Chief Inspector Tom Douglas is convinced the killer is a woman even though Fletcher financed a foundation that helped women who had been trafficked. The leading suspects quickly become Fletcher's unhappy wife, his teenage daughter, and his personal secretary. Douglas uncovers a web of lies and deceit where no one is like he or she seems.
