Nachdem Band 1 und 2 jeweils 5 Sterne Bücher waren, hat mich der letzte Band leider bitter enttäuscht. Bis auf die etwas tieferen Einblicke, die man am Filmset bekommt, fand ich das Buch leider extrem langweilig 🫤 Ich fand die Protagonisten zu eindimensional, die Lovestory habe ich überhaupt nicht fühlen können, es war mir viel zu viel Spice und viel zu wenig Handlung. Schade, aber das war nichts für mich.

I wanted to love it just as much as Part 1, but it'd just lost me at some point :/
Besuche mich auf meinem Blog buchgeruch.de ♥️📚 Maria, a Swedish actor, is taking a major role in the new sequal to the Gods in the Gates, alongside American actor Peter, who's taking the male protagonist's part. Unfortunately, they have quite a bad start on set due to their one night stand prior that week when Maria left his bedside, not even minding to leave a note... Meine Meinung: Ah no :/ Ich hab mich so sehr auf den Folgeband der Reihe gefreut, sodass ich sogar meine SuB Challenge diesen Monat für das Buch pausiert habe! Und es war auch echt toll am Anfang, und dann... war es irgendwie nicht mehr toll. Es plätscherte nur so vor sich hin und das Drama am Ende hab ich nun wirklich nicht verstanden - beide Charaktere standen sich dabei selbst im Weg und man hatte den Eindruck, die Autorin brauchte noch irgendeine Form von Konflikt, der aber kein miscommunication war, sondern etwas "total Erwachsenes" (wie Finanzen oder Jobsicherheit oder so). Meh... Der Schreibstil war wie in Band eins so flüssig und stellenweise so lustig, dass ich laut lachen musste. Erneut wurde das Thema body positivity sehr schön in den Fokus gestellt und vor allem in diesem Hollywood Setting war es sehr schön zu lesen, wie Maria immer, aber wirklich immer ihre Frau stand! Fazit: Kann lange nicht mit Band eins mithalten, aber es war trotzdem nett für zwischendurch zu lesen.

Wenn ich das Thema Plussize nicht gut gefunden hätte, hätte ich es bei der Hälfte abgebrochen. Absolut langweiliges Buch meiner Meinung nach. Dennoch einige coole empowernde Momente gehabt.
